This is the ultimate survival island. No trees. You have to find the wood underground. Luckily, there is an abandoned mineshaft underground. Try to find it. Thats the only place where you can find your wood. If you're worried about the land nearby, there is no land nearby. Not in 1000 blocks close of the island.

It is another jungle biome, surrounded by mushroom biome. But this mushroom biome is just amazing. Mountains and that kinda stuff, which I never seen in a mushroom biome before.
